Terry who incidentally built and maintains our website, decided he wanted us to convert his R33 GTST into an R334 wide arch Skyline. This involved stripping back the R33, removing the rear bumper and stripping back the rust from the arches. The next step was to build the rear wide arches out of sheet metal, not fiberglass. The results from our professional old school panel beater were fantastic. You can see the pure workmanship involved in this custom job. After this our body work specialist created new inner arch bracing to bridge the gap between the old wing and new wide arch version. The side skirts were next on the agenda and of course made out of sheet metal to make the perfect finish and fit. Now for the R34 GTR front end conversion. We removed the old R33 GTST slam panel from the Skyline and welded an R34 one in it's place. Not as straight forward as it seems but we got there, learning how it's done for when we make copies of this kit. After the slam panel we fitted the bonnet hinges from the R34 and mated up the bonnet. Unfortunately the bonnet was twisted, so we set to work correcting the fault, which is now perfect.
